Leslie Eberdt and Antoine Mosneron Dupin are both 26 years old university graduates, living in the western world who have had the chance to an education. Sounds standard, right? However, if Leslie were born Indian, she would have a 50% chance of being illiterate. Her childhood would most likely have been composed of picking rags to support a family – not furthering her education. Antoine, as an Indian boy, would most likely have a very different future. He would most probably would have been educated and have the opportunity to earn a decent living. Being a woman in India is tough. We believe that girls deserve the chance to education and a future that allows them to be leaders in their own right. We are riding a rickshaw 3,000 kilometres across India for Greenlight for Girls to provide eight Indian girls an education, which can lead to a better life.
